Councillor Anthony Spencer and Leader of Hertsmere and County Councillor, Morris Bright MBE met with Councillor Phil Bibby, the Hertfordshire County Council Cabinet member for Highways.
Councillor Spencer presented to Councillor Bibby, 160 residents’ letters of protest against speeding in Shenley and in particular on Black Lion Hill and Shenleybury.
Councillor Bibby will study the letters and respond back to the Parish Council with an action plan.
Additionally, Shenley Parish Council led by Councillor William Susman and assisted by Councillor Nigel Heller are liaising with Police to deal with the speeding issues in Shenley.
We have recruited 15 volunteers from the village who will work alongside Police and assist them in setting up speed traps. Your Conservative councillors will continue to lobby for more road safety measures.
