On the 29th October a community health event provided Hertsmere residents with the opportunity to find out more about the wide range of services and support available in the area.
The Patient Participation Groups of three Potters Bar medical centres (Annandale, Highview and Parkfield) organised an event at the Wyllyotts Centre in Potters Bar on 29 October, supported by Hertsmere Borough Council, Hertsmere Leisure and Hertfordshire County Council.
More than 20 health and community focused organisations were in attendance, providinmg residents information about a wide range of services and support available in the local area.
Hertsmere Conservative Councillor Caroline Clapper, Portfolio Holder for Leisure, Culture and Health, said: “This is an excellent event to highlight the range of health support and community focussed organisations are available to residents locally.
“As well as being able to meet representatives from many different organisations, there was also a programme of talks given by medical professionals on cardiovascular disease, eating well, frailty and pharmacy services. "
